Recognition of employee effort and reward for employee contribution is through a competitive and performance-oriented compensation programme. Employees also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that is comparable to industry standards. In addition, we have established a variety of other recognition & reward schemes to acknowledge employees for and motivate them towards targeted competencies or specific performance accomplishments.
Employees are provided opportunities to maximise their potential through training and development initiatives aimed at enhancing work performance or preparing them for positions of higher responsibility. Multi-functional exposure is also encouraged for engineers – this may take the form of job rotations, special projects, overseas assignments and secondments to Shareholders’ Offices for suitable personnel. Career development for engineers may take the direction of a managerial ladder or a technical specialist ladder, depending on the individual’s aptitude and contributions as well as our organisation’s needs. For fresh or relatively new graduates who join us, arrangements are made to accelerate their job competency and improve their career prospects through training initiatives and cross-functional postings where applicable.
The Kazus community is characterised by strong bonds of fellowship and camaraderie amongst employees. Enhancing this team spirit is one of the goals of the Kazus Recreation Committee (KRC) which is made up of representatives from various departments. Representatives take charge of organising any social or sports-related event or activity that they find interesting and deem of benefit in advancing the health and well-being of employees. Dragon-Boat Rowing is one of the corporate initiatives that Kazus has instituted to build up and strengthen our core competency on teamwork. Participation is on a voluntary basis and open to all employees. This activity not only promotes esprit de corps amongst employees but also aims to develop leadership, interpersonal and organising skills.
